‘Bon’ is an abstract entity that represents an unspecified concept. During my trip alone at the end of 2015, I witnessed the bark and rings of trees formed over the years. I also saw a tree that was dying and paradoxically living at the same time.

This abstract object inspired by the trees protrudes from the screen semi-dimensionally and leads to the thread outside the screen.

The space is naturally separated through the performance of weaving two black and white threads that have escaped from the screen and this is an imaginary boundary that the viewer can cross.

Consequently, I wanted to portray that there is nothing in the world that can be explained in a dichotomous way and all of these are, in the end, an imaginary boundary through this work.
